Features:

RECORD – Record as many separate messages as desired, totaling up to two minutes OR one continuous message of two minutes.

PLAY – Play the messages stored. Also pauses the currently playing message until the PLAY button is pressed again. 

ERASE – The total two minutes of audio memory can be erased in approximately 8 seconds. Also, partial memory erasure is possible.

ACTIVE LED – A Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights while the device is in operation. 

MAGNETIC BACKING – Two magnetic strips are on the back of each B2 LISTER.This makes it convenient to attach the B2 LISTER to the kitchen fridge. 

SIZE – 3.5” X 2.5” X 0.75”

BATTERIES – two CR2032 coin cell batteries are included with each unit. Replacement batteries are available for $1.00 each through BROWNS BRAIN. 



To RECORD:

To record a message on the LISTER, follow these simple steps:

  1. Press and hold the RECORD button.
  2. Press the PLAY button. The LED will light.
  3. Release both the RECORD and the PLAY buttons.
  4. Hold the LISTER about three to four inches from your mouth and speak into the front of the LISTER.
  5. Press the PLAY button to stop the recording.
NOTE: If the PLAY button is now pressed again the recorded message will be played and will be treated as one single message. However, if multiple messages are recorded by following the steps above, and PLAY is pressed twice after each recording, all of them will be stored as separate messages. In order to hear all the messages as one continuous played back message, it is important NOT to press the PLAY button twice after each recording.

To Record a shopping list:

  1. Follow the RECORD instructions above. At the end of the 1’st message, only press PLAY once. This would be step number 5 above.
  2. Follow the RECORD instructions above. At the end of the 2’nd message, only press PLAY once. This would be step number 5 above.
  3. Continue steps 1 and 2 for all the items on the list. The time between recordings may be minutes, seconds, days or even weeks. 
  4. To hear the entire list, press and release the RESET button and then press and release the PLAY button. All items on the list will be played back as one single message. 
NOTE: If the entire list has been played back it is still possible to add to the end of the list. To do this, simply play the entire list by pressing and releasing the RESET button and then pressing and releasing the PLAY button so that all items have been played. Now the B2 LISTER is ready to start recording, starting at the end of the last stored message.

To PLAY:

  1. To play back a recorded message/list item, simply press and release the PLAY button.
  2. The LED will light and the message will be heard.
  3. The LED will turn off at the end of the message.
To play back entire memory:

  1. Press and release the RESET button.
  2. Press and release the PLAY button.
  3. The LED will light and the message will be heard.
  4. At the end of the message the LED will turn off.
  5. Press and release the PLAY button.
  6. The LED will light and the message will be played.
  7. Repeat step 2 until all the stored items are played back.

To ERASE:

  1. To erase the total memory, press and release the RESET button.
  2. Press and hold the RECORD button.
  3. Press and hold the PLAY button.
  4. The LED will light.
  5. Now release both the RECORD and PLAY buttons.
  6. Press and hold the ERASE button. Continue to hold the ERASE button until the LED turns off. This will be approximately 8 seconds for the total memory. 
  7. When the LED turns off, release the ERASE button.
  8. Press and release the RESET button. Now the LISTER is ready for use.
To do a partial erase:

( Please understand that all recorded items AFTER the erasure starting time will be erased.)

  1. Play the stored messages up to the message you want to erase. 
  2. Press and hold the RECORD button.
  3. Press and hold the PLAY button.
  4. The LED will light.
  5. Now release both the RECORD and PLAY buttons.
  6. Press and hold the ERASE button. Continue to hold the ERASE button until the LED turns off.
  7. When the LED turns off, release the ERASE button.
  8. Press and release the RESET button. Now the memory is erased from the desired time to the end of the memory space.
